Sex Offender Registry’s Information Request Form

Request for information on sex offenders who are on the Jamaica Sex Offender Register can be made in writing to the Registrar, Sex Offender Registry,122 East Street, Kingston

or

complete this form, scan and email it to the Registrar, Sex Offender Registry at sor@dcs.gov.jm

The Registrar shall respond to an application as soon as is practicable but not later than 14 days after the date of receipt of the application (Sexual Offences (Registration of Sex Offenders) Regulations, 2012).

All Information in the Register and the Registry shall be secret and confidential and the Registrar shall only allow access in accordance with the Regulations – Section 10(1) Sexual Offences (Registration of Sex Offenders) Regulations, 2012.

Warning

Any person to whom information is communicated pursuant to these Regulations shall regard and deal with such information as secret and confidential. A person who at any time communicate any information obtained from the Sex Offender Registry to any person otherwise than for the purposes of these Regulations, commits an offence and shall be liable upon summary conviction thereof in a Parish Court to a fine not exceeding $250,000.00 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 months, or to both such fine and imprisonment (Section 5 & 6 Sexual Offences (Registration of Sex Offenders) Regulations, 2012.
