The Department of Correctional Services is committed to fostering family connections and social support networks for inmates. All inmates shall be given reasonable opportunities to communicate with families and loved ones, subject to institutional regulations and security protocols. 

Special visit permissions may be granted at the discretion of the Superintendent in specific circumstances, such as when visitors travel long distances or from overseas to meet inmates.

To ensure consistency, maintain security standards, and uphold proper procedures, the DCS has introduced standardized Visitors’ Application Forms for use across all correctional centres. These forms are designed to streamline the application process and ensure that all visits are conducted in an orderly and secure manner.
