Juvenile offender clients are engaged in the following vocational areas:
Breakfast Cookery and Baking: Competency based certification offered in partnership with HEART NSTA/Trust. The course is designed to equipped learners with the skills and techniques to produce breakfast items as well as baked goods at industry standards.
Auto Mechanic: Instruction for this course is guided by the JAGAS curriculum.
Food Preparation and Management: This area is taught by trained civilian teachers under the guidance of the CSEC curriculum.
Adult Offender Clients are taught the following vocational areas:
Tailoring: Instruction explores classic tailoring techniques in garment construction.
Welding: The course teaches welding techniques used by industry professionals to yield maximum results. These products are on display and for sale each year at the Department’s Expo.
Barbering:
Woods Technology: This course provides the foundation for constructing various types of furniture/ wood pieces. These pieces are also displayed and sold each year at the Departments Expo.
General Construction: Offender clients are exposed to foundational concepts in the field of construction to equipped them with theoretical and practical application skills.
Data Entry: Competency based certification offered in partnership with HEART NSTA/Trust. This course teaches how to effectively input and manage data into computer systems.
Sanitation: Competency based certification offered in partnership with HEART NSTA/Trust. The skills garnered from this course teaches offender clients best practices in implementing and maintaining safety procedures to ensure clean and hygienic public spaces.
Wall and Floor Tiling: Competency based certification offered in partnership with HEART NSTA/Trust. The course teaches the skills necessary to install various types of tiles both vertically and horizontally.

Radio production: This course exposes offender clients to the skills necessary to pursue a career in broadcasting/radio.
Screen Printing:
Entrepreneurship: Competency based certification offered in partnership with HEART NSTA/Trust. This unit is designed to equipped offender clients with the necessary skills to effectively create and sustain employment.
