Home / Rehabilitation & Reintegration / Rehabilitation Programmes: Extracurricular Activities
The Department of Correctional Services (DCS) supports inmate rehabilitation through structured enrichment activities that promote personal growth and practical skills.
4H-Club Programme
Through the 4H-Club’s agro-processing initiative, inmates gain valuable entrepreneurial and agricultural skills to support reintegration. The programme encourages innovation and independence, culminating in participation in the annual 4H-Club competition. Notably, one inmate won a gold medal at the 2025 JCDC Parish Finals, a testament to the programme’s success in nurturing talent and discipline.
Reading Club
Designed to improve literacy, critical thinking, and communication skills, the Reading Club engages inmates in regular reading sessions and book discussions, supporting both education and emotional development.
Art, Drama and Music
Creative expression is encouraged through art, drama, and music programmes that help inmates process emotions, build self-esteem, and develop talent. These programmes play a therapeutic role and often culminate in performances and exhibitions.
