Upon assuming office in April 2024, Commissioner Brigadier (Ret’d) Radgh Mason, commissioned the design and implementation of an official department flag.
A team led by Staff Officer Cleopatra Howard-Burton oversaw the design selection process. Several designs were presented to staff members for voting, and the final design was chosen on 27 September 2024.
On Sunday, 27 October 2025, during the Correctional Services Week Church Service at the Redeemer Moravian Church of God, the flag was officially ordained by Head Chaplain, Rev Ricardo Taylor.

The DCS flag features a vertical bicolour of regatta blue and lemon yellow, equally divided, with blue on the left and yellow on the right. The department’s insignia is prominently displayed at the centre, bridging both colours, symbolising unity, service, and integrity.
The introduction of the flag marks a significant milestone in the department’s journey, reinforcing its core values of confidentiality, accountability, respect, excellence, fairness, integrity, and transparency.
