The Rehabilitation Division is mandated to assist with designing, implementing and monitoring rehabilitation and reintegration programmes. Additionally, the division assists in developing policies to foster the transformation of offenders into peaceful law-abiding citizens. The Probation Aftercare Branch withing the division is mandated to facilitate the rehabilitation and reintegration of offenders who are given non-custodial sentences with supervision, and custodial offenders on parole who are spending the remainder of their sentence in open society. It engages Probation Aftercare Officers who operate from 18 parish probation offices., organised into four regions, each led by a Chief Probation Aftercare Officer:
Region 1: St. Catherine, St. Thomas, Kingston & St. Andrew
Region 2: Portland, St. Mary & St. Ann
Region 3: Clarendon, Manchester & St. Elizabeth
Region 4: Westmoreland, Hanover, St. James & Trelawny
Probation officers supervise offenders in their communities, ensuring their successful reintegration. They also provide confidential reports to courts to aid in sentencing decisions and operate within juvenile and adult correctional centres, schools, and communities.The branches/units within this division:
